News posted on October 30, 2015

Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW) is pleased to advise that the Saskatchewan Minister of Environment, Herb Cox, has approved MMSW’s revised Stewardship Plan. The Minister issued the announcement on Wednesday in a news release available here.

MMSW plans to launch its program on January 1, 2016, when MMSW members will start to share the cost to recycle their waste packaging and paper with municipalities.

MMSW’s 2016 budget and fee schedule was presented yesterday to the steward community by Managing Director, Allen Langdon, at CSSA’s Annual Steward Meeting, where he shared news of the plan’s approval with meeting attendees. MMSW stewards can access this information by turning to page 15 of the Pre-read document provided to all packaging and paper stewards.
