Reminder: GHG Reports Due by January 31, 2021

As you know, MMSW is preparing to track greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the program’s collection and recycling of residential waste packaging and paper to support the program’s Stewardship Plan requirements.

All MMSW collectors are required to submit 2020 operational data related to GHG emissions via the WeRecycle Portal by January 31, 2021.

If you have not done so already, we encourage you to connect with your sub-contractors and/or reporting partners to ensure you have all the data needed for your report.

Portal updates

There have been two minor updates to the WeRecycle Portal which will not affect your data preparation:
  1. “Partial” and “Full” load designations have been removed from the End Market Transportation materials list because the differentiation was not crucial to reporting.
  2. Collectors will be able to report kilometres driven by vehicle and fuel type. This option is available for those who cannot supply fuel usage in litres and must be requested.
