Preparing for 2021 GHG Data Reports
November 4, 2021
Dear Multi Material Stewardship Western Collectors,
Thank you for your continued support and participation in the MMSW program. As part of our ongoing efforts to annually measure and report our supply chain’s greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, all collectors are required to report 2021 GHG operational data in the WeRecycle Portal by January 31, 2022.
Results from our first year of collecting GHG data is included in the MMSW 2020 Annual Report.
Reporting of 2021 data is largely the same as last year, with some enhancements to the Portal based on collector feedback, including:
- Upload Spreadsheet – Excel template adds tabs for instructions and list of originating sites
- Sort and Filter – New options for managing list of GHG emission data categories
- Methodology – Supporting documents can be attached directly to Portal
- Shipping to End Market – Three options now available for distance and weight.
To assist you in preparing your reports, links to online resources are available on the MMSW GHG Reporting webpage to help collectors to submit accurate data before the deadline.
MMSW will also be hosting November 23 webinars for collection and post-collection reporters that will review the steps of completing a GHG report. Watch for details and registration information next week.
