Payments

Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW) has launched its product management program, under the Waste Packaging and Paper Stewardship Plan, effective January 1, 2016. This program applies to Saskatchewan municipalities and First Nations (Local Governments) and Regional Waste Authorities that collect residential waste packaging and paper (WPP).

The MMSW program provides payments to Local Governments and Regional Waste Authorities for their residential cardboard, paper, tin, glass, and plastic recycling materials, and payments came into effect on January 1, 2016.

If you are interested in receiving payment for your collection of residential WPP, your next step is to view a sample of a Services Agreement. An executed Agreement is a requirement to receive payment from MMSW for the collection and recycling of residential WPP. Visit our Become A Collector page for more information.
